Secret Evil Envelops the Planet. Satanism of the Underworld

Satan promises mountains of gold, but he pays with broken shards, for he is a liar and the father of lies. Examples of this are countless. Satanism is essentially Judaism for the poor, i.e. for the goyim, who are deprived of the knowledge of the Kabbalah and the rabbinic writings. At first it was secret, then it began to be actively promoted to the masses. Suffice it to recall the cult of the supreme deity, the Great Architect of the Universe, introduced during the Great French Revolution, which was organised by local Freemasons with British money. But this is if one considers this phenomenon in the realm of Christian theology, and so the worship and service to evil spirits is a much older phenomenon than the Jews themselves and their Bible, where the old myths of the other peoples of the world are laid out along with Jewish history.

Satanists could be seen as crazy or freaks bored with living in a society with its traditional ways, if their teachings were not advertised all over the world as the new normal. Including at musical performances, artists now routinely display occult symbols. Before it was only in the West, but now it has come to Russia too. For example, one can remember the ceremony of Muz-TV Award 2021 on the stage of Megasport or the coven at Scarlet Sails in the same year, which looked quite ridiculous - a copy of foreign stars' performances, i.e. events based on western satanic franchise.

I came across some rather interesting material on the subject of Satanism, including in Russia, from Andrei Zubov's book. "Prehistoric and Extra-Historic Religions. A History of Religions", published in 2017, I am publishing it below with cuts and my comments. If in my article "Why the Elites are drawn to dark cults. Introducing Satanism into Society" showed upper world Satanism, here it is explored as a lower world phenomenon. Although, as some kings, nobles and even Popes were devil-worshippers, and nowadays the big officials and bankers are seen in it, it still makes sense to speak not about the influence of the Satanic underworld on the society, but about the introduction of Satanism from the top down, from the elite to the common people.

In some places I edited the text, because it smelled like the stink of Soviet propaganda, like articles of that time, like "The Soviet Press Warns of the Damages of Rock Music", where stagnant old timers tried to teach young people, unable to talk to them in the same language, afraid of them and trying to ban everything. The young, accordingly, sent them away, identifying them as boring and boring men who were taking away their freedom. All because the system does not want to explain anything, because by making people smart, it puts itself at risk. Instead, those in power turn on primitive propaganda, preferring to dictate how to live and ban the unwanted, including forbidding people to think as they do not like.

But not everyone wants to walk through life like programmed morons, in formation and be the same people in the same trousers. In this case, when there is a deviation from the course of the party, the whistle simply blows and the warders with batons run to the offenders. This is the basis of the totalitarian society that was and is. Whatever system it was - monarchism, communism, fascism, capitalism - its essence, despite the different doctrines and attributes, is the same: the control of the stupid and enslaved herd by clever or at least simply cunning representatives of the elite. In this case the social upheavals that are taking place are usually the result of the squabbles between the elite clans and their scams against the people. Now a new social order is being created for all - Satanism.

The old doctrine of feudalism: "Work hard for your uncle and pray" is no longer valid. People no longer want to be slaves and live in a stable, which is why many fall victim to the Satanist ideology that has been inculcated in society, which gives a false sense of freedom. It is not even about direct religious worship of Satan, but about the doctrines of this ideology. It can be said of atheists that the devil's greatest trick is to convince everyone that he does not exist. In fact, if not a metaphysical image of the devil, then his concept of destruction and self-destruction both existed and still exists.

In this case you are supposedly allowed to live the way you want, nobody dictates you anything anymore, you are no longer a slave of God, who has to spread your cheeks in masochism, but a free man, who lives at his own pleasure and follows the scientific progress, which should make your life even more comfortable and interesting. But in reality you are transferred from one prison (slavery with external moralizing) to another (satanic), where you become a slave to sins (errors), which gradually destroy you both physically and mentally. You are no longer developing, but you are degrading, descending to the animal level.

That is, the freedom the Satanists talk about is the freedom to move on the negative scale, the freedom of degradation, but not the freedom of development. If in the God's matrix the elite formally keeps the frameworks of decorum in public, being afraid to lose face, so in the satanic matrix it doesn't take for granted - everything is allowed.

1. Satanic sects in the world and in Russia

Among the most famous Satanist associations are:

"Church of Satan", "International Association of Luciferians of the Celtic-Eastern Rite" and "Green Order". In America and Western Europe there are a number of other devilish cults: the "Church of the Thousand Firsts of Trapezoid" (San Francisco), "Church of the Last Judgement" (Los Angeles), "Asmodeus Society" (Washington), "International Association of Witches and Witchcraft" (New York), International Centre of Magic (Blois, France), various groups of Voodoo cult (a pagan cult of West Indian origin), the Palladian sect (Athena Pallada cult, their leader in the last century was Albert Pike (born 1809), the cult of Isis, the cult of Kali (Kali is the goddess of evil, usually depicted as thirsty for blood, with tongue sticking out, earrings made from the bodies of infants and a necklace of human skulls) and others.

The name of Satan sounds differently in various languages: Shaitan in Arabic, Seth in Egyptian, O-yama in Japanese, Dev in Persian, Becherit in Syriac, Pucca in Welsh, so all the cults worshipping them can naturally be called Satanic cults.

Adjoining the Satanists are neo-pagan groups as well as various orders of the following types: "Order of the Eastern Knights Templar", "Silver Star", "Golden Dawn" as well as some groups of Carlos Castaneda followers.

Satanist cults active in Russia include: "Southern Cross", "Black Angel", "Black Dragon", "Russian Church of Satan", "Blue Lotus", "Green Order", "Satanic Society".

Standing apart from the clearly Satanist cults is the "Church of Scientology" of L. R. Hubbard, who is essentially a disciple of the famous Satanist Aleister Crowley (a representative of the "Order of Eastern Templars") and who recognized himself in his will addressed to adherents of the highest degrees of initiation as the incarnation of the Antichrist.

In a 1952 Scientology lecture, Hubbard referred to Aleister Crowley as his "dearest friend" - the two Satanists had never actually met. Moreover, Crowley had a very unflattering opinion of the man who had conned his disciple Jack Parsons. Despite this, Hubbard held Crowley in high regard, referring to his work as "most admirable" and recommending one of his books for Scientologists to study. Calling Crowley "the Beast of 666," Hubbard stated that "he rose to an extraordinarily interesting level of religious worship." Hubbard used or copied so many of Crowley's ideas and views and referred to him so many times that comparisons between them simply cannot be avoided...

Scientology owns a number of symbols very reminiscent of those used in black magic. Knowing Hubbard's involvement with the occult, it would be difficult to assume that he knew nothing of the original meaning of these symbols." Also, for example, Scientology has the practice of reading words backwards, and this was taught by Crowley so that his adepts could speak in a language encrypted for outsiders.

A number of occult sects, as well as so-called "healers", witches and sorcerers, hiding behind various names, are in fact, according to experts from the Russian Federation Interior Ministry, Satanists.

2. Classification of Satanic Sects and Individual Satan Worshippers

The four-level classification of Satanism according to the levels of involvement and seriousness of the activities looks as follows after adjustment.

The first level (the least complicated) is the "self-study amateur". It consists of individuals who have been attracted to Satanism through popular books on the subject and other available sources. The amateur is usually not affiliated with a sophisticated group or cult, although there may be small local "amateur groups".

The second level is 'psychopathic Satanists'. These are individuals who are attracted to Satanism because it appears to justify their pre-existing urges. In other words, the individual receives Satanism "wrapped up" as a preexisting pathology. This level and the category of amateurs often overlap.

The third level, "religious Satanism" consists of publicly known groups, such as the "Church of Satan" (USA, California), the "Temple of Seth" (USA), the "Southern Cross" in Moscow and others. These organisations openly advertise their activities, have membership fees and all the other attributes of small religious groups.

The fourth level, the "Black Satanists", are groups that operate secretly, are clearly supposed to be responsible for some of the ritual violence, operate in extremely refined ways and consist primarily of hereditary Satanic adepts, seriously engaged in the most repulsive forms of occultism and Satan worship. For the most part, they are hereditary Satanists who do not advertise their activities or proselytize at all.

From my own life experience I confirm that there are indeed such families of "black Satanists". Once in my life I communicated with a girl, who chose Satanism for herself, but it turned out that her mother was a witch and worshipped the dark forces. I can't say that this girl looked crazy, or that it was a kind of tribute to fashion, but such people consciously decided to live on the dark side and serve Lucifer. They did not recruit anybody to their side, i.e. they did not proselytise. They did their dark work in the shadows, not promoting Satanism on stage, as today's showbiz stars do.

3. The location of centres and the number of adherents of Satanist cults

Satanist cults are very common in the USA and Western Europe (Norway, Sweden, etc.) as well as in Romania. The world centres of Satanism are currently located in the USA and England.

According to Newsweek magazine, at least 3 million Americans are into the devil cult. In Italy, Satanist sects are predominant in the northeast of the country and include approximately three thousand adherents, but their numbers are growing. In Romania, Satanist cells already exist in virtually every county in the country.

"The Church of Satan was founded in 1964 by Anthony LaVey, a former circus performer, nightclub organist and photographer for the San Francisco Police Department. The cult is practically the most famous of all Satanists, thanks to Charles Manson's band. The cult currently has several thousand adherents in the United States alone, La Vey has retired from business and his daughter Carla has taken over as leader. Interestingly, the Church of Satan has undergone the procedure of official registration in the United States, although in 1990 it was deprived of all tax benefits granted to religious associations. Its headquarters (the so-called "Council of Nine") is now located in San Francisco, and its second governing centre is in Manchester.

In the USSR, the earliest Satanist groups were noted in the early 1970s in the cities of Moscow, Leningrad and Odessa, but they were few in number. Satanism gradually spread to all major cities in the former USSR. Larger Satanist groups began to appear in the USSR as early as the early 1980s. A kind of fashion for Satanism in certain informal youth circles appeared after the beginning of perestroika. The number of such groups has been growing.

No one has exact data on the number of adherents and those interested, but it can be assumed that the number of adherents of Satanism in Russia is determined with all sorts of sorcerers and the like. (excluding common crooks) no less than a few thousand, it is even possible that this number has exceeded 10 thousand.

Satanic sects are known to operate throughout Russia. In Moscow alone there are now about twenty Satanist sects which, according to the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, comprise a total of over 30 organized groups of Satanists with a total of about 2000 members.

The largest and best known of these are the Black Angel, the Southern Cross ("Moscow Church of Satan"), the Black Countess group, the Russian Church of Satan, and the Black Dragon.

In addition to the Russian Federation, Satanist sects are widespread and active in the Republic of Belarus (Minsk, Brest Oblast, etc.), Ukraine and the Baltics.

Satanist groups are mainly structured according to the principle of a strict five-step hierarchy. The highest body is the council. Often women are chosen for the upper levels, an example being the "Black Angel" in Russia, formed around 1974-1975 in Moscow and Tver.

It can also be assumed that one of the most numerous groups among which Satanists recruit neophytes are drug addicts, although many people from all walks of life, of varying ages, occupations and education are involved in Satanism.

In recent years, there has been an increase in the activity of these criminogenic sects in our country. They infiltrate institutions of higher education, such as Moscow State University, rent elite restaurants, clubs (primarily sex clubs) and cafes at night and readily give interviews to journalists. The locations of the centres and gathering places of the Satanist sect "Southern Cross" are known, for example: a three-storey cult church in Medvedkovo industrial area (where the editorial office of the cult's own newspaper is also located); a base in Moscow Region; a cafe on Kuznetsky Most.

"The Russian Church of Satan" lists a P.O. Box in Reutov, Moscow Region, as its contact address on its flyers.

For some time the Polytechnical Museum on Lubyanka in Moscow was also one of the gathering places for Satanists. It was, for example, at one time the venue for lectures by Satanist Otari Kandaurov.

In the Yaroslavl region the "Church of Satan" appeared in the early 90s when Igor Tsaganovich Bizya, a graduate of the history department of Yaroslavl State University and rock musician, translated the "Black Bible" from English and rallied informal devil worshipers around him. They gathered in flats and abandoned houses for a collective reading of La Vieille's works and worship. "The Church of Satan" has several covens (units of 13 people) in towns and districts of Yaroslavl region. There is anecdotal evidence that two Satanists held ritual services in the cemeteries of Yaroslavl, in particular on Leontievskoye cemetery (1995) and Tugova Mountain (June 22, 1996).

Besides there is an opinion, that exactly Satanists repeatedly committed acts of vandalism, desecrated walls of Yaroslavl church of Vladimirskaya God's Mother on Rybinskaya street with drawings of cult character. Nowadays Bisya has given up the Satanism hobby and has gone into commerce, having opened a shop of musical accessories "Bison", and his group has given place to the younger organization of young men of 16-20 years which gather in one of houses on Andropov's street.

Currently there are two groups of devil worshippers in Yaroslavl, one of which consists of teenagers, and the other of quite mature people. Another Satanist group settled in Rybinsk, and in October 1995 chose a disused Church of Archangel Michael in the village of Mikhailovskoe as their place of worship.

At the board meeting of the Bryansk Regional Prosecutor's Office, Deputy Head of the Regional Administration Viktor Malashenko stated that the Bryansk region is home to a secret Satanic sect which has a well-developed structure and maintains ties with similar organizations abroad. The vice-governor is especially alarmed by the fact that several adherents of this sect have recently committed suicide. Victor Malashenko does not rule out that they may have become victims of ritual murder.

4. Doctrines of Satanist cults

"Your father is the devil, and you want to do the lusts of your father; he was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, for there is no truth in him; when he speaks a lie, he speaks his own, for he is a liar and the father of lies" (John 8: 44).

Satanist cults is the most savage and criminal type of destructive cults, even against the background of other totalitarian organizations. Here the depravity of the adherents reaches its maximum and clearly visible depth.

In former times Satanism was more secretive than now. At that time it was dominated by anti-religious and godless aspects, although even today, traditional Satanism is more associated with black magic and rituals.

Satanism is traditionally seen as the worship of evil, as a religion based on principles opposed to Christianity.

At the heart of traditional Satanism is the worship of a personal and powerful devil. In Satanism everything is reversed: the devil of Christianity becomes the god of Satanists, Christian virtues are seen as vices and vices as virtues. Life is understood as a continuous struggle between the forces of light and darkness, with the Satanist fighting on the side of darkness, believing that in the end it will triumph.

Satanism as such may seem to exist only insofar as Christianity exists, and can only be understood in the context of the Christian worldview. But it should be noted that the cults worshipping the forces of darkness existed also in pre-Christian period of human history.

Ideological inspirer of modern Satanists believed Cambridge graduate, occultist and author of several "magical" books Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), the most famous representative of the "Order of the Eastern Knights Templar" (his mystical name in the Order was - "Baphomet"), who believed that "Satan - not the enemy of man, but Life, Light and Love", who called himself the beast of the Apocalypse and taught many disciples. In particular, L.R. Hubbard drew much from the teachings of Crowley to create his totalitarian sect "The Church of Scientology", as already mentioned above. The works of this English mystic, who was a Hitler sympathiser, became the basis of many Satanist cults, including the largest organisation, the Church of Satan.

In "These Strange New Cults", in a chapter on modern Satanism, William Petersen, analysing the resurgence of Satanism in the mid-1960s, believes that the catalyst for this process was the film "Rosemary's Baby", where La Vey, the self-appointed head of the "Church of Satan" in San Francisco and author of the "Satanic (Black) Bible", played the role of the devil, subsequently calling the film "the best commercial venture for Satanism since the Inquisition", and Petersen stresses that La Vey is undoubtedly right here.

The main emphasis of The Church of Satan is on materialism and hedonism. Its philosophy of life is the pursuit of pleasure, it profits from all that enters the world through the medium of the devil. Some of its basic tenets are: permissiveness; animal existence and the animal nature of man; the commission of all so-called sins.

"The Church of Satan" supports all forms of sexual activity that satisfy human desire, whether it be heterosexuality, homosexuality, adultery or adultery. For their followers Satan is a symbol rather than reality. In this respect they differ from other branches of Satanism. Their focus is carnal pleasures and earthly goods.

Modern Satanists worship images of the serpent from paradise as the bearer of knowledge and Lucifer as the abode of fire, Their underlying ideas are as follows:

• Satan is the strongest;
• life is violence;
• one must indulge and obey one's baser instincts and urges;
• one must act contrary to, or at least indifferent to, the demands of society's laws;
• social structures must be deconstructed from within;
• real joy is revenge on one's enemies;
• earthly life is a preparation for going to hell to torment one's enemies;
• everything connected with official religions must be desecrated as far as possible;

The religious aspects of Satanist sects are quite varied, even within their general primitiveness. Many of them regard God as an impersonal force of the universe above good and evil. Others assure that God is still a Personality, but that in life man must please the devil as master of the earth.

Satan's temples must be for man's rampant freewill, the lawless nature of the beast. In rituals Satanists must release their rage, cruelty and vindictiveness to then love those who deserve love. In turn, love can only be known through the knowledge of hatred. What matters to them is the feeling of liberation from a guilt complex. But all perversion must be ostensibly free, without violence. "Voluntariness" is often achieved with drugs. Satanists accept all forms of free sexual love as the "normal" satisfaction of individual needs, of natural inclinations. They preach indulgence instead of abstinence.

Satanists' "morality" is based not only on denial, but on a complete perversion of Christian life values. All basic Orthodox rituals and prayers have variations of Satanists that are opposite in meaning, but similar in form. For the sectarians, Satanism is the highest incarnation of human life, since the needs of people are supposedly primarily the needs of the flesh.

Satanists have very vague "all will be well" statements about life after death. Some sects believe that they will have the eternal bliss of torturing their enemies and other forms of ego satisfaction. They believe a new satanic era is coming.

On 10 April 1994, in the programme "Oasis", produced by Open World TPO, Ark Studio and broadcast by Russian Universities, Kandaurov referred to Christ as "Satan's brother". Kandaurov then shared his conviction that Lucifer is supposedly God's favourite creature, who has never fallen away from the Creator, that good and evil are two manifestations of a single world origin: "Christ and Satanael are linked as one; in esoteric symbolism, Christ and Satanas are depicted as the two-headed serpent. They are doing the same thing. Christ is the teacher of mankind, Satan is the examiner..."

Regarding the examiner of mankind, oddly enough, the statement is not that far from the truth, if we consider the matter in a Christian way. The priests themselves often prefer to avoid the subject. In fact, it is clearly written in the Bible that the devil is "the prince of this world", so he could offer Christ in the desert different favors in return for cooperation. It is also clear, according to Christian theology, that the devil is not equal to God at all and he will simply destroy him at the Last Judgment at the snap of a finger, as they say. In the legend of Jove the subordinate position of Satan is absolutely clear.

Why should the devil and his servants be given power on earth after being cast down from heaven? And to let them crap on people? So that through the possibility of choice they could select the best material. And for what purpose is the question. One can also think of theories about woofah and the Earth as a cosmic farm for its production. In that case the energy of suffering is extracted from people in this cosmic material prison disguised as a beautiful green planet, and the devil directs the process as the chief overseer. Accordingly, Satanists become his jailers, receiving certain benefits and personal degradation. Evil rules this world on the level of material power, just look at the rulers of countries to see that.

5. Aleister Crowley, mastermind of modern Satanism

Modern lovers of occult wisdom, who have no doubt that they are dealing with ancient magic, with the rituals of Egyptian priests and Chaldean magicians, are often mistaken, as many "magic recipes and spells" passing from one book to another are "recreated" by Aleister Crowley (1875-1947). "The great magician of the twentieth century," as Crowley was known, made himself famous not only for his scientific writings, but also for his shocking drug-fueled sexomagic orgies of his contemporaries.

In the 1890s, a certain Mathers, who founded the Order of the Ruby Rose and the Golden Cross, was very popular. He wore an extravagant gold brocade cloak and wore a pointed hat with earphones like those worn by Tibetan monks. Together with thirty "brothers" and half a hundred disciples, Mazere rented a place called the "Temple of Isis-Urania". In 1898, Mazere obtained access to the study of the discovered in the library of the Paris Arsenal "Book of Sacred Magic Magician Abra-Melin", printed in 1458, which was a textbook of occultism. In the same year, Mathers met Crowley.

Crowley was born in Warwickshire in 1875. The psychopathic environment of the home left an indelible mark on the character and destiny of the little Crawley. According to another (more likely) version, Crowley was born into a family of hereditary "black Satanists". When asked shortly before his death why he referred to himself as the "Beast of the Apocalypse", Crowley replied that his mother had called him that. She watched quietly as her son tore the heads off pigeons and sucked their blood.

Crowley left his parents' home early, opting for a life of wandering. Like many others, he was drawn to the East, so he went to the Himalayas. From India, Crowley brought back a reticulated python. From then on he always had some huge reptile living in his house, with which he often posed for photographers.

Entering the Order of the Ruby Rose and the Golden Cross in London, Crowley soon achieved equal initiation with Mathers, after which he continued his mystical explorations in Cambridge. He then travels again to Asia, where he decides to break with Mathers and found his own order, the Argentum astrum (Silver Star). In 1903, he married a certain Rosa Kelly, but she could not long endure the temperamental experiments of her husband, who was the first in the West to promote horoscopic love postures and tantric sex. The marriage fell apart, but her place was not vacant for long. In Leah Hirsig, Crowley found both priestess and shakti lover.

In his books "The Book of the Law", "The Theory and Practice of Magic" and others, Crowley combined the ancient rites of service to the devil, the shaitan and other demons with his contemporary occult practices. He revived the ancient practice of using drugs in witchcraft rituals, noting the special role of using hashish, opium, fly agaric infusion, peyote and Aztec mushrooms in rituals, all of which Crowley had tried on himself.

Crowley established Satanic sects in New York and Singapore, Macau and Rome, Buenos Aires and Montevideo. After settling in Sicily after the First World War, Crowley founded the Abbey of Thelem, where he continued his magical research, perfected his technique of sexomagic rituals, and experimented extensively with drugs. He had many followers and students, among whom a special place took the medium and sorceress Violet Mary (1891-1946), known under the pseudonym of "God is not Destiny. Crowley repeatedly enlisted her to participate in "Isis and Adonis Mysteries" as he called his sexomagic orgies.

In 1922, Crowley became Grand Master of the "Order of the Eastern Temple" ("Order of the Eastern Knights Templar"), closely associated with the German occult groups, which included future high-ranking functionaries of the SS, Crowley generally favoured National Socialism and Fascism. However, the relationship did not work out and Crowley was forced to leave Italy. During World War II, Crowley wrote his last significant work, The Book of Thoth.

6. "The Black Bible" by La Vey.

One of the most widespread books among the Satanists, reflecting the basic concepts of their activity, is the "Satanic Bible" (or "Black Bible") by Anthony Shandor La Vey, the leader of the American Black Magi, written in 1968 and published in 125-thousand copies, which predetermined the formation of the "Church of Satan".

The book is cheap and easily accessible to teenagers. Satan, according to La Vene, nicknamed "Black Pope" by many of his followers, is the concentration of all the dark sides of human nature. "Satan sits in all of us, and the challenge is only to identify and recognize him. The Satanic essence contained in human beings is the main and most powerful. It is something to be proud of, not to be grasped. It must be cultivated, which we do in our temple through various magical incantations," asserted La Vey. "There is no such thing as an afterlife, at least not a heavenly one," he stated, "so we must hurry to enjoy earthly pleasures.

La Vey preached the need for a church that could turn man's carnal desires into an object of worship, veneration and praise: "Since the cult of bodily desires brings people pleasure, since then there is also a temple of glorious indulgence, a temple of lust, a temple of this cult..."

The book demeans the status of man: "Satan considers man to be a creature like any other..." and constantly insults Christianity.

The book itself has been constructed as the antipode of the real Bible. La Vey in writing his book tried to take into account and correct the shortcomings of the writings of his predecessors.

The book is written in a very thoughtful and sophisticated style, which during the current extremely hard and cruel time for the world may well attract into a cult people, desperate, embittered, who have lost their reference points in life or simply have strong psychological problems, to say nothing of the mentally ill, for whom, at first sight, this book seems to be written, though in reality it is written by very clever people and is intended for quite a specific contingent of people - potential adherents of Satanist cults. The book is not intended for the one who reads it will immediately run to perform Satanist rituals, the purpose of the book is to plant false seeds of doubt in the soul and mind of the one who reads it:

"What you will see here may not always be to your liking, but most importantly, you will see!"

"The Black Bible a priori removes all the sins of Satan's followers. No matter how many crimes the devil-worshipper adherent commits, it is proclaimed that he is not responsible, as he is allowed all sins: "Satan in his greatest mercy permits and grants mankind all so-called 'sins' which lead man to physical, intellectual or emotional gratification."

Moral codes of any kind are simply obstacles for the Satanist to overcome. "Do what you will, it should be all law" - this quote from Aleister Crowley's Book of Law expresses it well. It particularly accurately reflects the position of the elite, from whom naive philistines expect favours for themselves, thinking they are governed by morality and morals and sincerely resenting why they act for their own selfish ends (e.g. plundering billions into their own pockets) rather than building a heavenly life for naive fools from the social bottom.

Since rebellion against authority usually occurs during the teenage years (and can actually be used to characterise these very difficult years), Satanist ideology can be extremely appealing, especially to those who have already faced the difficulties of authority figures.

"La Vey's Satanic Bible" also advocates the liberation of instincts, especially those restrained by societal moral codes. It appeals to a kind of "here/now" pandering to natural urges, especially aggressive and sexual urges, with a total lack of respect for other considerations. Suppression in any form is wrong; what is right is the release of any desire. Since sexual and aggressive urges are intense during the teenage years, it is easy to see why this philosophy might appeal to the young. If followed to its logical conclusion, this philosophy promotes one long endless party of self-indulgence.

The religious philosophy of Satanism actually offers what may seem like a "teenager's dream": "Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinence"; "Satan represents all so-called sins in such a way that they lead to physical, mental or emotional satisfaction." In reality, man simply becomes a slave to his sins. The more he indulges in them, the more he craves for them. It is an endless lust, leading eventually to personal degradation. Therefore, why should we be surprised when mentally unhealthy sexual perverts show up in power circles.

Selfishness, the inflating of one's own self at the expense of others is the central message conveyed here. La Vey offers a picture of reality in which humanity is painted as an advanced form of vicious animal, in which the weak are suppressed by the strong, and in which feelings such as love, compassion and warmth are the hallmarks of the weak. This vision is a mixture of Darwinism and some form of Machiavellianism, combined with elements of Nietzschean 'will to power'. This vision aligns with many trends widely accepted in our culture today and is compatible with some aspects of scientific materialism.

In essence our society is not at all liberated from religion when Christianity is attacked, but imperceptibly rebuilt to a Satanist format, and science instead of following humanity becomes a tool of the devil (chipping people, transhumanism, brainwashing through the internet).

Satanist philosophy will look strangely familiar to children now, rather than bizarre or alien. Power is the thread running through the whole Satanist religion - the power to be free from any restriction (including moral codes). It is the triumph of the self, conducted in such a way that this very self becomes the centre of the universe. "The self, in short, is God. "Man, the beast is deity to the Satanist", "Every man is a god if he chooses to acknowledge himself as such".

"The Black Bible" by Anthony La Vey finds a positive resonance in many souls also because to a large extent modern collective social and individual behaviour appears to be governed by beliefs very similar to those put forward by La Vey. And with this view La Vey emphatically agrees. In fact, he openly declares that Satanism simply recognises what is already there, and that it is a real (though as yet unrecognised) religion of our society: "As a matter of fact, we preach what has long been the American way of life. It's just that not everyone has the courage to call things by their proper names."

Another book used by Satanists, most often in their teens, is the Necronomicon. written by the "Mad Arab", Abdul Alhazared. The book supposedly teaches readers how to summon demons.

7. Satanic sect rituals, black mass

Satanic worship, known as Satanism, manifests itself in various forms. Black magic, black mass, certain drug subcultures, and blood sacrifices are all related to Satanism in one way or another. Satanists use the "Book of Satanic Rituals" written by La Vey as one of the guidelines for their rituals.

The basis of the Satanists' cult is sacrifice. The real sacrifice for them is not killing as such, but the death throes of a living being. The choice of sacrifice is simple. It is any of those who have done wrong or seriously disturbed the Satanists, from their point of view. By doing so, it is as if he has given permission for his torment and doom. An image of the victim may sometimes be used in place of a real victim: a doll, a photograph, a drawing, a written or verbal description. The image is destroyed by, for example, sticking needles or nails in it, describing the process of destruction, etc.

Satanist magic consists of "formal ceremonies for concentrating adrenaline and other emotionally evoked energy to transform it into a dynamically transmitted force". One of the main magical tools is the infliction of curses. Rituals are performed in "chambers of intellectual emancipation". They are performed by the magister, priestesses, leader and other participants.

This is how the Satanist initiation rites were described by the Satanist girls who took them. They had to go to a cemetery at night, step over a cross the size of a human figure and reject all faith in Christ. The girls then underwent the ritual of drinking the blood of an animal whose skin had been removed alive.

An article in the newspaper Megapolis-Express described the Satanists' "black mass" as follows:

"... The room was barely lit by the flickering flames of candles. In the middle is a red table on which lies a naked woman. Her posture is sexually provocative: her legs are raised... The woman holds black candles in her hands. On her belly is a silver bowl of fresh blood. One of the satanic priest's assistants takes a ritual plastic phallus and shakes it twice against each side of the world to bless the house. The ritual participants, dressed in hooded black robes, begin uttering curses, shouting loudly and gradually going into a frenzy. The air smells of sweat, the grease of burnt candles...".

Three bull's hearts stabbed through with knives, leaves with indecipherable writings, red candles all around - such were the traces of a bloody Satanist ritual discovered by Italian police in the Idroscalo woods near Milan.

The opposition of the Satanic cult to Christianity is most evident in the rites of today's devil worshippers. The most impressive of these is the Black Mass, during which sacred symbols of Christianity, such as the cross, are blasphemed and mocked. Covenants continue to be held in the mountains (Brocken in Germany, Blokula in Sweden, Bald Mountain near Linz), in the woods or on the desert plains, just as in the Middle Ages.

The "Black Mass" is obligatory on Satanic feasts:

• Walpurgis Night (night of 1 May);
• Halloween (night of November 1);
• Winter and Summer Solstice, Autumn and Spring Equinox:
• Lamas (Harvest Festival, night of August 1);
• Purification (night of February 15);
• Night of the Fern Blossom (night of July 6);
• the night of every full moon.

The Black Mass is celebrated by a priest and a priestess. One man does not serve, as he "does not provide a connection with the egregors". Satanism is a left-handed matriarchal cult. In some Satanist orders, the cult takes on a dualistic character, but the feminine always prevails, as Satanists believe that a woman is closer to the devil than a man. Only the priestess performs initiation rites and reads "entrances" (special ritual incantations to invoke Satan).

The black mass is usually held between 0 am and 4 am. It is believed that there are no strict rules for the conduct of the Mass, and the differences in "liturgics" do not vary greatly among the various orders, although more than 30 variations of the conduct of the service during the Black Mass are known. Services in serious Satanist groups are conducted in Latin. Sometimes Enochian keys are used. (Satanists use a special magical alphabet and language called Enochian.)

Satanists dress in black during their rituals, in their words, "the colour of mourning for the victims of Christianity and the colour of night before the triumph of reason and light, before the coming of Satan". The Satanists' jewellery is made of silver, the "moon metal", as "gold cannot be worn before the coming of Satan".

At the very beginning of the black mass, an "entrance" is read for about 40 minutes, followed by the praise of Satan.

The second stage is the sacrifice. A pigeon, ram, rabbit or rooster is designated as a sacrifice. The animal is killed with a single blow, after which it is given for a "burnt offering". The victim's blood is poured into a bowl and drunk as "communion", Satanists see this as "magical union with the egregore of nature". Then 2 ml of blood is collected from each of the adepts to achieve a closer unity of spirit. The blood is diluted and drunk also as 'communion'. The remnants of the blood are "sanctified" by the "sacred pentagrams" of the Satanists.

This is followed by the initiation of neophytes, who are forced to recite a renunciation of Christianity. Everything ends with a satanic hymn, which is the opposite of "Our Father" (one of the satanist groups in Moscow has a version of this hymn called "Domini satanas").

Teenagers are the most impressionable. They tend to imitate anti-heroes, taking the imposed type of behaviour as the norm. Satanist symbols are advertised to them through music and the attributes of extreme sports (skateboarding and snowboarding).

8. Characteristics of Satanist cults

"The sleep of the mind gives birth to monsters" (Francisco Goya)

Satan worship has deep historical roots. Notable here is the story of the Hungarian Countess Elisabeth Báthory, who sadistically abused her servants, took blood baths, ate her victims, human flesh was one of her main dishes. Rumours of Elisabeth Bathory's atrocities spread wider and wider, and government officials could no longer look past her atrocities. The police secretly entered her castle as she was bleeding her servants. She was sentenced to life imprisonment in a crypt-like cell with only one hole through which the bloody countess was fed. She died in prison in 1614.

In Europe, the peak of fascination with Satanism can be seen in the mid-17th century in fairly high secular circles. At that time, hideous and gruesome Satanist rituals were developed in detail.

Among the many Satanist cults, researchers distinguish between societies of devil worshippers as such (which is quite rare in its pure form) and worshippers of the same devil as a "god" (Luciferians). In the 70s, the "Luciferian International" was formed, with the aim of uniting sects of Satanists to create an order of Aryan Knights, the highest elite of "keepers of the mysteries".

Basically, "Satanist unions" are built on the basis of a strict hierarchy which includes five grades (disciples, witches, demons and so on). All union members are subordinated to a council, which has the power to appoint local Satanist leaders, with the choice usually determined by the wealth and social standing of the candidates for these positions.

Specific sect activities take the form of legal alliances and clandestine elite groups recruiting their supporters among thrill seekers and morally questionable sensibilities. Adherents of satanic sects use a specific set of key password combinations.

Some Satanist groups recruit neophytes at schools, universities, particularly Moscow State University. Witnesses say that recruiters from one of the Satanist cults almost force people to join them, "literally drag them by the arms. Others do not proselytise at all.

9. Demonic groups

"For Jesus said to him, 'Come out the unclean spirit from this man. And he asked him, 'What is your name? And he answered, 'Legion is my name, because we are many.'" (Mk 5:8-9)

The Bible speaks of the existence not only of the devil, but also of a large number of his ministers - demons, demons or evil spirits. Demonic cults are destructive cults whose adherents worship different kinds of demons.

According to the Bible, demons have the following characteristics:

• demons are incorporeal spirits;
• demons are many;
• demons are organized;
• demons have supernatural powers;
• demons are aware of God and were originally in harmony with God
• demons are allowed to roam the earth and torment unbelievers;
• demons often cause illness and physical harm;
• demons can possess and control humans and animals
• demons tremble before God;
• Demons spread false teaching;
• God will judge demons at the Last Judgment.

Since the demons, according to the religious traditions of Christianity, Islam and other traditional beliefs, are servants of Satan, then adherents of demonic groups, serving a particular demon or group of demons, through them actually serve Satan.

10. The Demonic Current in Shamanism

In spite of the great religious and social role of shamanism in history, it should be noted that there is another current in shamanism which manifested itself very strongly in primitive cultures. It reveals a fractured and bifurcated mystical consciousness. It is not by chance that shamanism was called "black faith". What we know about shamans of various countries and the nature of their revelations allows us to conclude that their "supernatural experience" (if we leave aside deception and pathology) was obviously most often an occult experience.

The phenomena that were known in European dark occultism were very common in shamanism. Often the shamanistic cult fell directly into the worship of the evil forces and demons, which in general is not surprising, because people were afraid of evil spirits and tried to draw them to their side. Evil even possessed a peculiar charm, which was the cause of many terrible pages in the religious history of antiquity. Bloody ritual orgies in the wilds of Africa, human sacrifices in Mexico, ritual cannibalism - all this can hardly be called the result of innate cruelty. These monstrous perversions are rooted in the depths of a mystical evil that stands in the way of human quests as a temptation and a test. Cannibalism, according to G. K. Chesterton, "is not a primitive or even an animal custom. Cannibalism is artificial and even exquisite, like 'true art for art'. People do not eat people at all because they see nothing wrong with it. They know very well that it is horrible, and so they eat it."

The demonic features of primitive shamanic cults are pointed out by a curious Yakut story according to which the first Great Shaman was an adversary of God.

Among Altai shamans there is a myth about the origin of the shamanic belief "djan", the founder of which was Erlik (Jalrik, Jalbik) who taught shamanism, ordering spirits to appear at the call of the lord, a man named Dzhangara. The person of Erlik should be considered in more detail. English researchers among the ancient Turkic (pre-Altaic) inscriptions discovered the name Erlik as a name of the god of death.

The name "Erlik" is inextricably linked to "evil shamans", whose shamans were different from the shamans of traditional, "white" shamans, i.e. "black shamans". In a number of legends of Altai and Buryat people Ulgren and Erlik appear together as brothers. In time they quarreled and separated, with Ulgren remaining in the celestial realm, and Erlik being cast down by him first to the Earth, and then to the underworld, where he became the prince of the dark spirits. This myth quite clearly describes "black shamanism" connected with the worship of Erlik and travels to the underworld.

Modern shamanism explains differently the essence of communication of a shaman with spirits. Some (E. Arbmann, J. Pouillon, J. Lewis) are sure that a shaman is a master of spirits, their lord; others (H. Findzein, C. Humphrey) that he is a slave of demons who lost his own personality. "He who is capable of controlled possession becomes the lord of the spirits and is known in the Arctic as a shaman," claim the former. "The essential factor is the belief that the personality has been 'invaded' by a supernatural being and that temporarily it is out of self-control, the self subject to the influence of the 'invading force'," the latter suggest. Ethnographic material suggests that both assertions are true. A shaman can be both a playmate of the spirits and their lord. But to become a shaman against the will of the spirits is impossible - all adherents of shamanism agree with that.

А. Shrenk found the fact of spirit-inflicted shamanic illness among the Nenets long before the description of the phenomenon by the religious scholars. The traveler noted: "They appear to him in different forms, both in dreams, and in reality, tormenting his soul by various concerns and fears, especially in secluded places, and do not fall behind him until he, not seeing any more means to go against the will of the deity, not finally realizes his calling, and decides to follow him.

A modern researcher of Nenets religious practices sums up that remark a century and a half ago: "To become a shaman it wasn't enough to have a shaman among ancestors, there had to be an active intervention of spirits which induced a man to shamanic activity. The title of a shaman was not accepted with joy but as a heavy burden".

Shamanists themselves explain the clan succession quite convincingly. When a shaman dies his normal panyan soul goes to the afterlife - buni. Another soul, an üpsa, who had been living close to the tomb, does the same after a year. But a shamanic clan heart - puta - stays on Earth and looks for a new master among relatives of the deceased. Puta is a spirit, a guardian demon of the shaman. He is used to being taken care of, "fed". He, a shamanic spirit, "loved the body, blood and smell of the deceased shaman", and therefore prefers to continue living among the blood relatives of the deceased.

The strange behaviour of the person called to shamanism by the spirits has been dubbed the "shamanic disease". "The unwillingness to follow the will of the spirits causes anger on their part as well as on the part of the community," states Revunenkova.

An invocation to shamanism usually takes place in two stages. In the first stage, the summoned does not experience any particular subjective suffering, although outwardly his behaviour becomes completely abnormal. He feels no pain from fire or cuts with a knife, escapes to the mountains, wanders there for weeks, eating raw meat of forest animals and birds, which he tears apart alive. The cold, the snow does not bother him. Sometimes in his own home or in the forest, such a person falls into a many-day's sleep and in his sleep sings like a shaman, calling upon the spirits by name. "All have had a vocation for shamanic activity expressed in a long specific illness. Many have told us about its symptoms," remarks Anna Smolyak.

The vocation to shamanism outwardly resembles a severe mental illness. Scientists have long been in no doubt that they are dealing with schizophrenia or paranoid epileptoid syndrome. "The moment of shamanic "calling" subjectively realised as a voice of spirits, demanding from the person entering the shamanic profession - wrote the prominent Soviet expert on "primitive religions" S.A.Tokarev, - is objectively nervous disease which, by the way, mostly comprehends the person in period of puberty... The shamanic profession strengthens the neuropathological features of the person, these features precede the person entering the shamanic profession".

However for demonic possession, i.e. power of spirits over human soul may well be considered as the reason of psychic illness. Perhaps originally psychically ill people lack protection from the forces of the infernal world, and therefore the demons choose them as their servants.

Communication with the spirits is not possible without the voluntary consent of man - a consent which he must show before other people. Once in a while spirits leave man, and not dwell in it. Such a person is highly respected because he defeated the spirits and defended his right not to be a shaman.

Insofar as we can understand the symbolism of the Nanai initiation rite we notice that it is a question of establishing a firm connection between a spirit and a man, of creating a peculiar anthropo-demonic symbiosis.

11. The criminal and bestial nature of satanic and demonic cults

Satanist leaders are repeatedly described in the media as extremely promiscuous sadists and masochists. There are regular reports in the media about violent crimes involving adherents of various kinds of Satanist cults.

Below is a list of some such crimes that have come to the attention of the public and the media:

• The 1972 brutal murder of actress Sharon Tate and her friends by Charles Manson, the leader of the coven (a unit of 13 adherents) of the "Church of Satan", at the cottage of film director Roman Polanski, effectively making publicity for the "Church of Satan"; police determined that the crime had a ritualistic nature, as cultic drawings, including inverted Christian crosses and pentagrams, had been left on the walls of the building; despite demands by the American public that Manson be executed, a California state court pardoned the devil-worshipper and sent him to a life sentence in the town of Jamesville near Sacramento. Wexville near Sacramento;
• In April 1973, devil-worshippers murdered 17-year-old Ross Cochran in Florida during a ritual sacrifice and found his body violently beaten and mutilated near the town of Dayton Beach, Florida, USA; police concluded that Ross Cochran had been a victim of Satanism;
• the October 1988 ritual murder of his 12-year-old sister in Ontario by 25-year-old Satanist Brantford (who slit her throat;
• the April 1989 discovery by U.S. police near Brownsville, Texas, of a satanic sect performing human sacrifice;
• the 1989 murder of five young girls by Satanists in Pretoria, South Africa, a version recently advanced by the South African police investigating the murder; prime suspects Gert van Rooyen and his girlfriend Joy Haarhoff committed suicide after police became aware of them; A search of the house revealed a cache in the basement where animal bones had been stored in an acid container, animal remains were also found in the backyard garden and police spokesman Reggie Marimutu said that unexplained things were happening in the home, he said detectives were working on several versions, but the most likely one was Satanism;
• the ritual murder of three Orthodox monks in Optina hermitage (Kaluga region) on the Bright Resurrection of Christ on April 18, 1993; the murderer, Satanist Nikolay Averin, who was caught, did not even deny his crime; in all, several clerics of the Russian Orthodox Church have been killed in ritual ways since 1988;
• a series of ritual murders committed by adherents of the "Order of the Devil" near Khabarovsk in 1990-1993; the remains were found in a swampy area; all murders were claimed by Satanist Prokhorov, whose home the police found a Satanist temple
• the ritual murder of Orthodox pilgrim George in the Desert in 1994 by thirteen stabs with a long needle (the last stab was to his heart);
• the ritual murder of a schoolgirl by several schoolchildren in Cherkessk: they stabbed the girl to death and drank her blood as a ritual drink;
• Ritual murder of a 7-year-old boy and a first-grade girl in Gomel by an adept of occultism; upon arrest, he claimed he had killed her out of mystical motives;
• the rape and ritual murder of an 11-year-old boy by an adept of the satanic sect "Blue Lotus", a 24-year-old watchman at a fur farm at the collective farm "Progress" in the village of Novoyazovskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region, Y. Kravchenko, who was afraid of reprisals by fellow villagers, committed suicide and during a search of his flat his "satanic diary" was found (which he signed his name);
• the bloody drama happened on the night of January 6 (Satanist holiday), 1995 at one of the frontier posts in Pamir, when a Satanic adherent, a border guard from Vologda, killed two his comrades-in-arms and wounded a third by shooting them dead with a submachine gun, after which he committed suicide; Many occult symbols were found in the satanic soldier's notebook, and his co-workers noted repeated instances of him telling stories about Satanism and trying to convert soldiers to his faith;
• ritual murder of a 16-year-old girl by Satanists in Kansk, Krasnoyarsk region, in 1995;
• the conviction in 1995 in Ivano-Frankovsk (Ukraine) of three adherents of a Satanist cult for "desecration of graves";
• the 1995 ritual murder - an offering to Satan - on the eve of Christmas of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dyagilev, near Ryazan, by a local "psychic healer" Arina Zabrodina, wife of an officer, of her second grader son Kolya, whom she had spent days preparing for the offering to Satan; she fed him with special food, etc. She was the first to stun the boy, then take him to the bathroom, cut off his head, drained his blood (a forensic examination showed the exsanguination of the body); Zabrodin wrapped his head in a white cloth and put it in a plastic bag, neighbours saw her standing on the balcony, holding a round object and performing strange acts, similar to ritual; only police intervention saved her daughter, who was to become the next victim;
• The ritual murder-sacrifice of a boy in Brest in October 1995
• The sacrifice of a young girl from St. Petersburg by Satanists in 1996;
• desecration of the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk on the night of July 23 to 24, 1996: defacing with black paint mosaic icons (of the Holy Trinity, St. John the Baptist, the Slovenian teachers Cyril and Methodius) and placing cultic anti-Christian symbols and blasphemous slogans expressing a direct threat of physical destruction of Christians: "I am Satan. I am the truth...", "The hour has come, the wolf's den has risen from the ashes, which brings death..."; one of the participants in this crime has been detained;
• An unexplained premeditated (according to one version, ritualistic) burning of corpses in the morgue of the Central Regional Hospital in Korolev city (former Kaliningrad), Moscow region, on the night of August 15, 1996; attackers broke down the door, poured flammable liquid on each of the 10 corpses and set them on fire (a similar incident took place in the same morgue in the summer of 1995);
• A ritual murder committed by Satanist K. in Fryazino, Moscow Oblast;
• ritual murder of a 32-year old woman in November 1995 in St. Petersburg by Satanists; according to the investigation the Satanists (2 men and 2 women) brought the victim to Satan by mutual agreement, then dragged her to the bathroom and dismembered her body (as they said the ritual demanded), then they killed her two dogs in the same way, then packed the remains into 4 packages and threw them into a small pond on Chebinskaya street and dumped her into the grave. Chelyabinskaya street;
• an act of vandalism committed by two young Satanists at the Catholic cemetery in Šilutė, a city in the west of Lithuania, on the Memorial Day of the Dead, which in Lithuania is considered one of the most venerated days of the calendar; they knocked down 30 gravestones and crosses and desecrated dozens of graves, during search of their flats police found many metal figures of Jesus Christ taken from crosses and monuments, as it turned out, serving them to perform Satanic rites; In Shilut, the police detained a large group of young men dressed in black who had tried to disrupt a service in a church by shouting obscenities at Christ; they openly told the police that they recognised the power of the devil and were following the precepts of Satan: any cross they encountered on their way should be broken down (and this is no longer a youthful outburst; the Shilut grave desecrators who were caught and jailed, for example, did just that);
• detention of a Satanist who committed ritual murder in March 1996 in Minsk; the detainee did not deny his guilt and confessed that he had been preparing to do it for several years, killing cats; when the number of "executed" animals reached 666, the Satanist stabbed the man "in the name of his master"; the Ministry of the Interior admitted that this was the second case of ritual murder
• The sacrifice of a young man by Satanists at the cross under the walls of the Jerusalem monastery in May 1996;
• In Stavropol, on the night of 10 August 199b, a two-metre high cross, consecrated by Patriarch Alexiy II of Moscow and All Russia two years before, was set on fire on the territory of a regional hospital [55];
• In St Petersburg, on 14 and 30 August 1996, a wooden cross was splintered twice, on the site of a cathedral under construction for the disabled, and not long before that, a city cemetery was desecrated;
• a series of bizarre simultaneous hangings of over 30 young men (some of whom knew each other) from September 1996 in Tyumen and the Tyumen suburb of Antipino; all hanged by leather belts; several factors led to the suspicion they were involved with a Satanic cult;
• An act of vandalism committed by Satanists in the central city cemetery in Vinnytsia on the night of November 1, 1996. On the night of November 1, 1996, on the Halloween holiday, 40 grave markers were destroyed; only the graves with the crosses were desecrated, and the crosses were broken or turned upside down, and thus were stuck in the ground; in January 1997 four students of vocational school were detained on suspicion of committing this crime; they said that they were Satanists and thus celebrated their main holiday; they might be sentenced to three years imprisonment;
• An arson attack on an Orthodox church in Zaslavl in October 1996;
• Desecration of an Orthodox cemetery in the Kazakh village of Troitskoye (Taldykurgan Region) in late December 1996, with vandals shooting at photographs on tombstones; 23 graves were desecrated; the next day, the desecrators were detained as a result of search operations.
• An attack on Christmas Eve 1997 by a group of young people, calling themselves Satanists, on the city Ascension Church in Elektrostal, Moscow region; they broke into the church, threw stones through the windows, threatened the priests with violence and defiled the walls with obscene slogans; the police were not able to arrest the attackers and they fled;
